Why that matters to a borrower
A lender that does not handle metal has to hire someone to verify it and someone else to store it, and both of those cost you. We test, weigh and value metal as our ordinary business, and our sister company runs the vault.
It also means we can tell you honestly when a coin is worth more than melt, because we know what it would fetch. A pure lender has no reason to know and no reason to mention it.
Where the collateral sits
In a fully insured US vault — a 9R-rated facility on the Galt Ocean Mile operated by Florida Intervault, our sister company. It is not lent out, not leased, not rehypothecated and not pooled.
On repayment the same bars and coins come back. That distinction is worth asking any lender in this space about, because the answers genuinely differ.
What this product is not
Not a pawn loan — different structure, different advance rate, different interest, no short forfeit date. Not consumer lending; these are business-purpose commercial loans. Not a sale with a buy-back; the metal remains yours.
